Labor Day weekend

Tuesday, September 4, 2007

Going camping for the first time ever, enjoying the feel of being on the mountains, watching crazy awesome bikers in their 24-hour mountain biking relay, watching the fat drip off of countless hamburgers to set the grill aflame, walks around the lake, spying on bats, romping, reading by flashlight in the tent, buying forbidden and delicious frozen food, making fajitas, Mr. Bean’s Holiday, massive amounts of skeeball, the big haul, the firefighting game, D&B cups and mugs, Chipotle’s, talks and walks and sometimes even simultaneously.

All that and taking two practice MCATs and doing reasonably well in them, plus getting all my work done for the week (and even some ahead of time) – that’s what makes a good weekend.  Being around my boy always reminds me how to focus on getting things done more efficiently so I have time to play.
